How we choose products

How it works

From a long list to a short shelf

Every product on LuisVenture goes through the same seven steps. Most candidates don’t make it past step three. That’s the point.

1. Intake

A candidate enters with a source (where we saw the demand), a supplier, a variant and the warehouse it would ship from. No source, no candidate.

2. Safety and rights check

We screen for medical or cosmetic claims, children’s products, batteries, protective gear, weapons and unauthorised brands. A failure here ends the review, regardless of how good the numbers look.

3. Landed cost

Product, shipping, duties, packaging, payment fees, a returns reserve and support time — all added up before we look at the sale price. If the margin isn’t honest, we stop.

4. Demand and competition

We look at search interest, marketplace signals, seasonality and how crowded the category is. Saturated categories need a real difference, not just a lower price.

5. Sample

We order the product from the supplier we’d use for you, time the delivery, unbox it and use it. Quality, packaging, instructions, and whether it matches the listing.

6. Dossier and decision

Everything above goes into a one-page dossier with a score out of 100. A person — not a script — approves, rejects or asks for another sample.

7. Listed, then watched

Once listed, we track delivery times, returns and complaints for every product. Items that stop meeting the bar are removed.

What this means for you

  • A short catalog that changes slowly.
  • Delivery estimates based on a real order, not a supplier’s promise.
  • One tracking number per parcel, sent by email and visible in your account.
  • A returns process we’ve tested before you ever need it.
